We’re driven by our own love of learning. When we're helping people in fields such as healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and IT, we're fortunate enough to do some learning of our own. Then, in our work we try to pass along our love of learning through positive, impactful learning experiences.

Here are a couple of collaborations that were especially rewarding for us.

This collaboration between Lifespan of Rochester, NY and Cornell University provides valuable instructor-led training to nursing home and long-term care staff. We helped redesign the training program to an online format for a national audience, delivered in short sections that fit into a staffer’s busy day, available on all devices.

Improving Resident Relationships

Schneider Electric

This global manufacturer of enterprise-level energy products and services needed to educate employees and affiliates on a range of topics. We developed a close partnership with the Schneider training team over several years, collaborating on a blended training approach of in-person classes, online courses, and supplemental learning materials.

John is a learning consultant, strategist, and designer with nearly 20 years of experience in learning and development. He founded Unit One Learning in April, 2018.

John has a Bachelor’s degree from American University and an MBA from the University of Rochester Simon Business School. He is a member of Strong Memorial Hospital’s Patient and Family Advisory Council and a volunteer for the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation.
